For many football fans, Ronaldo and Messi are the most important figures to ever play the sport.
Both men are in the twilight of their careers but are still on track to score more than 800 goals for club and country.
Ronaldo and Messi have played for some of the best clubs in the sport and have won major titles.
Both now ply their trade outside Europe: Ronaldo joined Saudi giants Al-Nassr in December 2022, while Messi joined MLS side Inter Miami.
Arteta had a clear choice: Messi and revealed that his three children also love the Argentine.
“Always Lionel Messi,” Arteta told Sky Sports.
“My three children deserve the same. We are lucky to have the opportunity to meet the greatest player of all time. For me, he is the best of all time.”
