CEO of Bayer Leverkusen proffer Xabi Alonso to be coach of Madrid

Bayer Leverkusen CEO Carro has hinted that coach Xabi Alonso could lead Real Madrid shortly.

Alonso has already confirmed that he will not leave the new Bundesliga champions until next season.

The former Spanish midfielder is expected to move to either Bayern Munich or Liverpool this summer. But Carro has now claimed that Alonso cannot say no to Real.

“It is possible that Xabi Alonso will one day become coach of Real Madrid, yes,” Carro told Diario AS.

“Many clubs want Alonso. Maybe one day he can work for one of them, especially for the clubs he played for. But now he is happy here and that is why he stays.”

“A termination clause? This is a confidential matter between us.
