Alhaji Mashood, a resident of Bode Saadu, Olorunsogo area of Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State, sued his daughter at the High District Court in the city for alleged sexual assault.
The complainant, Ms Simbiat Mashhood, stated in her direct complaint that the suspect had engaged in sexual intercourse and threatened her with prison or death if she revealed the act to anyone.
“This behaviour became a habit of my father. I am her only child and that is why my mother refused to come home after the divorce.

“My father’s second wife once came up to us and made fun of me and the supposed ritual activity,” he stated.
The suspect’s lawyer, Barrister Toyin Onaolapo, asked the court to release his client on bail.
Presiding over the case, Judge Abdul Ekin granted bail to the suspect and adjourned the case until April 15, 2024.
