Russian missile attacks on Ukraine, result in 6 Fatalities and 11 Injuries

kyiv, Ukraine (WSN) — Russian forces attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles overnight, killing at least six people and wounding 11 others in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, local officials said.

The governor of the Kharkiv region, Oleh Syniehubov, said residential buildings, a gas station, a daycare, a cafe, a store and cars were damaged in the rocket attacks on the city.

According to the head of the air force, Russia fired six missiles and 32 Shahed drones manufactured in Iran at Ukraine in one night.

The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces shot down three cruise missiles and 28 drones, Lt. Gen. Mykola Oleshchuk said in a statement. “Russian killers keep terrorising Ukrainians and attack Kharkiv and other peaceful cities,” he stated.

The Russian military did not comment on the attacks but said Ukraine fired Vampire missiles at Russia on Saturday morning. All ten were shot down by air defence systems over the Russian border region of Belgorod, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
